SOFT-VAK water softening systems prevent common water problems, including calcium carbonate scale (or deposits) and other aggressive minerals such as iron and magnesium. These deposits cause hard water to dry out the skin and hair. When one of these devices is installed in the house, it works to soften the water coming out of each tap, reducing or completely removing these aggressive minerals.

How does the CWG VAK COMPACT softener work?

1. Hard water enters the device and passes through ion exchange resin .

2. The resin binds hardness minerals and replaces them with sodium , softening the water.

3. When the resin capacity is used up, the device is automatically regenerated using a saline solution .

4. The process is fully automated , silent and imperceptible to the user.

Compact water softening systems in a compact design stand out in particular with their narrow, space-saving construction, as the ion mass container and control unit (control head) are built into a compact housing as a salt container.

The Compact water softening system works according to the ion exchange process, i.e. it exchanges the “hardness minerals” calcium (Ca 2+ ) and magnesium (Mg 2+ ) with sodium ions (Na + ). In the process, it descales your water.

The Compact system consists of a housing with a removable movable cover. The structure integrates a GRP container filled with high-quality ion exchange resin. The system housing serves as a container for tableted salt for the regeneration of the device, where it prepares a brine solution and can accommodate a salt supply (15 – 60 kg max. depending on the device model).
